MGS responds to Fort Washington landslide

The Maryland Geological Survey visited the site of a landslide in the Fort Washington area of southwest Prince Georges County. The slide occurred as a result of slope failure associated with the Marlboro Clay. Recent heavy rain was likely a contributing factor in the slide.
