    Geologist I

    The Department of Natural Resources – Maryland Geological Survey located in Baltimore City’s Old Goucher District is seeking to fill a full-time position at the Geologist I level. Duties of this position include assisting other staff geologists with a variety of scientific projects; to actively promote and participate in educational outreach at several levels to educate the public about the importance of living in harmony with our environment and protecting our natural resources; to provide Library assistance to customers; to answer many inquiries and information requests from the public related to the geology of Maryland; and to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Publications Sales Office. This position performs other duties that are assigned to complete all tasks associated with this job’s functions and support the mission of the Maryland Geological Survey.
